Mural Demonstration

The Great Mural Project of the 2008 "Art in a Pickle Barn" Skagit Valley Tulip Festival has officially started!

I finally put together my sketches and started with a blue conte crayon outline and I'm ready to begin with the washes. For those of you in the Pacific Northwest, I hope you can stop by and see the progress!

Mural Painting - A Project in Process: Part 1

1 - Plywood secured with 2 x 6 boards for frame

2 - Primed with white Latex paint

3 - Detail sketch collage completed for reference
(includes colored sketch of completed mural with 1 inch grid)

4 - Plywood hung on wall

5 - Marked off 1 foot grid with blue Conte Crayon

6 - Used grid to sketch overall design
