I had a great time at the Everett Fresh Paint show. The support people were great, and all the artist perks were so nice! I love the shows that are more about the art and the artists than about making money. Despite the downpour at the end of Saturday and light sprinkles on Sunday morning, the turn-out was okay too. I hope to make this an annual event. Maybe Harold (Harold Johnson - an amazing photo-realism artist from Seattle) and I will get booths next to each other and be the last people to load out again next year. At least we made it out before it was dark... just barely. Check out the new art I made at the show too!

What does an artist do for post-show relaxation?? Draw, of course! I'm enjoying the cozy little portable format of colored pencil this week as I recoup from the Coupeville show. Here's one of my latest. I hope you enjoy! Look for this piece in my Etsy store - bargain priced!

I'm back from the Coupeville show on Whidbey Island, WA. It's a great location, great people running the show, and amazing artists! It was one of the highest quality shows of the season. For those of you who could make the trip to this lovely town and stopped by my booth - THANK YOU! Didn't make it this year? Put this event on your calendar for next year!

Since my computer crash of '07, I lost my original web files. Arghhh! I finally have my website updated again - and with a new look! Check out this latest version - just don't tell me that the computer crash was a positive thing! Thanks for looking!

My garden is growing and my sunflowers are now in full bloom! I often take photos of the things I enjoy as inspiration for my painting. Sometimes I like my photographs so much, I offer them for sale too! My latest series of sunflowers I also enjoyed playing with them in Photoshop and changing colors, fillers, textures, and more. Despite my artistic, creative nature, I also have this computer geek part of me that loves to play around on the computer - wow! can you ever waste time that way. I try to limit the time I'm on there, but... oh well. I hope you enjoy my latest images.
